Klaraos Fresh Start (KFS) has been formed for the primary purpose of providing capital to purchase portfolios of non-performing consumer credit card debt. KFS acquires debt directly from a variety of primary VISA issuing banks with clients who originally had “A” or “B” credit ratings. These people typically had financial issues consistent with the ongoing recession and after recovering from a job loss or foreclosure, many of them are anxious to restore their credit rating. KFS then acquires this debt at pennies on the dollar. Where collection models of banks require a collection of the full amount charged, KFS uses a combination of payment plans and settlements.
The goal of KFS is to provide these people with a reasonable opportunity to improve their credit scores in a supportive, non-threatening environment while creating a strong return for KFS.
